Would like to see the ability to lock the garage door (i.e. prevent it from opening) from the MyQ app

I would like to someday integrate the garage door functionality into my smarthome.  I hope to someday be able to prevent the garage door from opening (i.e. lock mode) when the security system is armed.  If the MyQ app had the ability to lock the garage door, I could manually enable lock mode until such time that MyQ has a channel on IFTTT.

I am curious though if there becomes an issue for "dumb" garage door openers that are not wi-fi enabled. Then normal all purpose garage remotes would send the rf signal and the door would respond before the MyQ could block because of "lock mode."  I really like the idea of a lock mode.

Would be a good idea. But I switched to a Microsoft phone a few days ago, so I do not have to worry about opening my garage door as the APP does not work on Microsoft phones.

This is an excellent idea.  This same idea came to me today because a neighbor's house was burglarized during the night when he was at work.  Whoever did it, broke into a truck then opened the garage with the opener.  I would like to have to ability to lock the garage door within the app.  Even more so I would love to schedule a lock out period.  For me I would set it from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. During that period all remotes won't work but access to still available via the app.  It's not uncommon for a vehicle with a garage remote to be in the driveway when no one is home or worse when people are sound asleep.

This could be a major security selling point for Chamberlain.  A firmware update could add this feature to all their connected products.
