Wired vs WiFi adapter kits? MyQ web page infomation

When I realized that I had a Chamberlain Whisper Drive garage door opener already, I got excited about the Chamberlain MyQ technology.  My problem is the Chamberlain MyQ website needs to better tell me which adapter kit meets my needs.  I ended up with the pairing that has a hardwired McQ internet adapter and the replacement wall unit for my Chamberlain garage door opener.  It works well.
Now I learn (failed to understand from the Chamberlain MyQ webpages) that it is possible to have the new MyQ wall unit for my Chamberlain garage door opener and a WIRELESS / WiFi adapter not requiring a wired slot on my Internet router.  I like that idea as I use all my ethernet slots on the router.  I has to make a hard choice removing something else from my router.

The Chamberlain MyQ webpage made it clear by purchasing as a pair the wall unit and the hardwired internet access device.  So that pairing in one package made sense.
I just wish it had shown a different combined kit with the MyQ WIRELESS device and replacement MyQ wall unit if such exists.  The common webpage needs to FEATURE that availability as a kit and make the two options next to each other while making the difference CLEAR.
Currently that does not appear to be the case.

It would be nice if the WiFi version works with a switchable choice 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz.  I prefer the 5.0 GHz for greater security.
IF I get mad enough, what is the WiFi version model identifier?  Will that work with the new MyQ wall unit that I purchased for my Chamberlain Whisper Drive garage door?

Hello Jeff - Our MyQ Garage, which is the unit we have that connects to your Wi-Fi, does not require the MyQ Control Panel that you received with the connectivity kit. The MyQ Garage works on all Chamberlain openers that are manufactured after 1993. The model number you would need is MYQ-G0201. At this time it only works on 2.4 GHz.
