Wifi connection problem

I can’t get my garage door opener to connect to the internet. During the setup process I only get 1 beep. I’m supposed to get 3 beeps. The first one is connecting to the router, the second is connecting to the internet, and the third is when it connects to chamberlains. It searches for the 3 times and then the website gives me an error. And the garage door continues to beep till I unplug it and try again. The router sees the garage door and I have decent signal in the garage... any ideas? I have the 1.25 belt driven opener

Rahul, when you get a chance, could you check the model number on your garage door opener and let us know what that is? Thanks, Chuck

HD950WF. I think the part number is B970. It’s from Home Depot

Rahul, here are some options you can try to resolve this:

- Power cycle the router (turn it off for 10 seconds and then turn back on) during the single beep.
- Make sure your router is compatible with this guide: https://tinyurl.com/ych2etwp.
- Check to see if your garage door opener is within range of the router (between 50 to 150 ft). If the Wi-Fi signal in the garage is low, move the router closer to the garage door opener or get a Wi-Fi extender.
- Verify that the router security is set to a preferred setting. We recommend WPA2 with no mix mode. If the router has an option for channel bandwidth, we recommend setting it to 20mhz. If you are unsure how to check this, contact your router manufacturer
- The MyQ Wi-Fi product is only compatible with 802.11 B/G/N. If the router is only configured for 802.11AC, it will not work. If you are unsure how to check this, contact your router manufacturer.

Let us know how that goes and if we can further assist you. Thanks, Chuck

I tried the power cycle, it did not work.

I checked and the one I have is set to WPA2, and it set to b/g/n

It’s a Linksys and is on your list. I checked the signal strength and it is full bars to 3 of 4 bars.

I checked the router setting and it sees the myq but the app doesn’t see it it. I never get more than 1 beep.

I just got a Netgear range extender n300, and it still does not connect... all I hear is single beeps, every few seconds. Which means it is connecting to the router but not connecting to the internet or chamberlain.... the main reason I got this garage door was because I could tell if it was left open or not thru my phone...
