why will the timezone change not take effect?

I have changed the time zone under mmy preferences, however it will not take stay..

It is beyond bizarre that Chamberlain can't fix something so basic as the TIME ZONE SETTING. It's been a number of weeks now. They admit it's a known issue, but inexcusable that it's taken so long and I still can't set it... it always reverts back to America/Chicago. Come on Chamberlain... surely you can fix this THIS WEEK, right?

I am having the same problem as Doug (above). Time zone defaulted to America/Chicago but does not save when I edit.  Please fix this issue!

Can the customers be provided honest information on this issue? It has been reported about 3 months now. All we are told is that the technical support team is working on it. This can't be for 3 months. When do the software developers (assuming there are any) get to work on this? Thanks.

I have been trying to get this problem resolved for 3 weeks.  This is ridiculous that it takes this long to enable us to do something that every crappy VCR made 40 years ago could do, set the GD clock.

I am having the same issue.  If I try to change the timezone from the website, it doesn't change and always says America/Chicago.  If I try to change it from my phone, I get a message saying "Server Error (000)"

It's been a month since I installed this thing and this problem still isn't fixed.  This is a stupid freaking problem that can't be that difficult.  Obviously this is still going on because nobody gives a crap.  How do I contact somebody that can actually get something done?

I tried to change the time zone and had this issue as well. This is obviously a boneheaded bug... my question is... are we trusting the security of our homes via myQ to a company that can't QA a simple issue like time zone bug correction that has probably been there since the software was designed? Not good.

I have the same exact problem for a brand new door opener which was installed by an authorized dealer yesterday. Also, it does not seem anything can be saved on the profile page. I have tried to change my password multiple times and yet after saving I cannot log back in. And the Forgot Password instruction that is provided after you get a temporary password is worthless. Yet MyQ is taking a lot of positive credit for 2018 CES show. First get it working before you take credit for it.

While trying to fix an unrelated issue, I had to "remove extensions in Chrome" (Google how to do it...very easy). Remove extensions, go back into the Liftmaster/Chamberlain website, change TIME ZONE to correct one, SAVE, LOGOUT, log back in, and check to see that the change has indeed been changed. It worked for me... good luck!

I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer.  The browser being used is not the issue.

I too have had this issue since day one. I keep hoping it will get fixed but after over a month I don't think that anything is actually being done about this. Nothing works, the Chrome extension suggestion does nothing. I am thinking the same thing as others on here, if you are unable to figure out something as simple as a time zone how can I trust that this system is even secure?

Very frustrating and even more so seeing that clearly nothing is being done to resolve this issue besides you saying that |Someone will be reaching out to you".... That sounds good but none of that fixes this issue that has been persistent for such a long time.

In today's world it should not take you more than few hours to resolve this issue that is if you had qualified personnel working it which obviously does not seem to be case since this issue dates back weeks and maybe months.

I am having exact same issue.  Reverts to Chicago.  on my PC I press save and it just goes back to home page.  On my Android I press save and it give me server error 000

Using the website:
1.Click on the person icon on the right side of the screen near “Welcome, ______(user’s name)”
2.Change the country to a country other than US or Canada. (This will not affect the MyQ account)
3.Update the time zone on the account.
4.Click Save.

Using the MyQ app:
1.Tap the Menu bars in the upper left corner
2.Tap the account on the bottom of the menu (User’s name)
3.Android: Tap the pencil. Apple: Tap Edit Info
4.Change the country to a country other than US or Canada. (This will not affect the MyQ account)
5.Update the time zone on the account.
6.Click Save.

Don't know if these work since I had already fixed mine..

I'm also having the same issue. I tried the fix above but my account is now stuck on "Barbados" since that's the country I clicked on. Can't figure out how to get it back to USA.

Mine is stuck in America/Chicago on the iPhone app. Though its set to America/New York via the web site account. I get an Server Error 0000 whenever I try to change timezone. How to resolve this?

MyQ Community members,

We have resolved the technical issue resulting in error code 000.  You will now be allowed to set the correct time zone, as well as enter and save your state of residence and phone number to your MyQ account. Your MyQ app will update automatically, allowing you to enter the correct info.
