why the apps shows "open" after closing from a smart phone?

I use the app to close my garage door. I saw my garage door has closed, but it keeps showing open on the app. I've waited for at least 3 minutes to see it change "closed" on the app, but it still shows "open". However, I'm able to open the garage by touching on the garage "icon" on my phone and it will make the "beep" noise like it is going close.
If I'm going to touch to let it close, it will shows error. I can't use the phone to open of close the garage door anymore. I have to use the hard button on the wall to operate the door.  It's really confusing!
Any help in resolving this issue will be very appreciated!!

The door sensor is confused some vibration during the opening or closing process can trick the sensor into thinking the door is still open. Just manually open and close it once to resync it. If the issue keeps reoccurring check and replace the battery in the sensor and re-evaluate the location of he sensor. I had mine on the door it’s self close to the centre and had the same issue as you so moved it off to a metal strip on the side where the rollers are and issue only happens once in a. Blue moon now.

Michael Parker,
Thank you! I followed your advise and stick the sensor to a metal strip and for now everything works flawless.
