In order for the event history, alerts or push notifications to provide the correct date and time stamp, ensure the zip code and time zone are set correctly. If you receive alerts or push notifications that list the event time incorrectly verify that the zip code and time zone information in your MyQ account is accurate.

To configure the settings from the MyQ Home Control App

  1. Log into the MyQ App
  2. Tap the Action Bar
  3. Tap on Account
    • Android
      1. Tap the pencil to Edit
      2. Scroll down, tap on Zip or change the Zip code entered
      3. Below Zip, tap Time Zone and select your zone location. Day light savings time is incorporated
      4. Tap Save
    • Apple
      1. Tap Edit Info
      2. Tap on Zip and update your Zip Code
      3. Tap the time zone and select your location. Day light savings time is incorporated
      4. Tap Done
      5. Tap Save
  4. Zip Code and Time Zone has been updated, Alert, push notifications and event history should now display the correct time.
  5. Activate your system and identify if your event history for that device is accurate, if not repeat steps until you find the correct Time Zone.

To configure the settings from the MyQ Website

  1. Go to the website
  2. Log into your account
  3. Click the Person icon near the user name
  4. In the contact tab, update your Postal Code and Time Zone. Day light savings time is incorporated.
  5. Click Save
  6. Zip Code and Time Zone has been updated, Alert, push notifications and event history should now display the correct time.
  7. Activate your system and identify if your event history for that device is accurate, if not repeat steps until you find the correct Time Zone.

Note

  • When the zip code field is blank or an invalid zip code has been entered, alerts will display using central time.
  • If your event history does not match your time, update your zip code and time zone within the account settings.
