Someone could make a third party app, had one when i had pebble watch, for apple watch to control my nest thermostat i rely on a third party nest app with apple watch support, same for gopro camera.

wink has an app which works on apple watch. You make shortcuts to open or close your garage door, you can set home or away on nest thermostats and turn drop cams on and off

I have the Wink app and it will work on the Apple Watch and operate MyQ to open the garage doors but only for about a 1/2 hour and then the Wink app stops working to connect to MyQ or loses the connection.  Have been on Support for both Wink and Chamberlain.  No luck.

I used it when I had a loaner car. open garage when I came home , closed it when I left. Did it about 4- 5 times, I dont usually need to use it unless my leaves the door up.

So the Wink app stayed operational with the MyQ and garage door?  Can't figure out why when I set it up [and I have three or four times from scratch], it works but then after about 30 minutes it doesn't anymore.

Are you talking about the app on your phone or watch. I was using the watch , there was occasionally a short delay but it always worked

Actually, I am speaking about both.  The Wink app on the phone does not connect to MyQ after 30 minutes.  The app on the Watch actually does connect to the Wink app but the Wink app does nothing but show the garage door spinning open and ultimately states that it can not operate.

Doug - Does your opener activate within the MyQ app? Or are you seeing the same issues?

Opener works perfectly with MyQ and all the time for months.

Also, when I first link the Wink app to MyQ app [or MyQ to Wink - done it both ways], the Wink app then also activates door - for awhile and then stops doing it after about 1/2 hour.  However, the MyQ app still works to activate the door

Its fixed now.  Had to delete the Wink app from both iphone and itunes and then reinstall through MyQ app and it works fine now.

So what is the update on the Apple Watch App for MyQ?  Also would be nice to get current App updated a bit, and maybe some API options for developers to work with?

Awesome, thanks.

I appreciate the integration wtih Wink and Nest, but to have ability to easily Open Close Garage using Watch without the need to purchase additional Hardware would be AWESOME.  I am hoping that Apple Watch adoption increases significantly this Holiday Season, this will prompt more companies to create/add Apple Watch Apps/Support.

Dawn, have you found anything else relating to when we might be expecting an update in HomeKit support and Apple Watch app support?

Here is the information I was able to gather. That iWatch integration is under consideration. However, we cannot provide any further details at this time. We encourage you to check our pressroom page on Chamberlain.com for all of the latest news and information surrounding MyQ.

Please add me to the list of those waiting for Apple Watch support. I just got my watch and was disappointed that it wasn't compatible. Seems like it would be a no brainer for a product like this, please...

You can use the free Wink app to link the Garage Door MyQ App from Chamberlain to your watch and use the shortcuts on Wink in the App to open and close your door from your watch.  The MyQ app has Wink app link.

Do I need a Wink Hub?  I am getting tired of using 3rd party apps to make my devices work on Apple Watch.  I have to use Kontrol for Nest to make it work on my Apple Watch, it works, but it is bit buggy and slow.

Ok, no Wink Hub, needed, seems to work well, AWESOME thanks.

Now Chamberlain, please update your App, make it prettier (kinda tired of the 1970s look) and add Apple Watch Support.

Thanks for the wink recommendation, that should do while waiting for a native app for the watch.

Chamberlain is so far behind with their app it's not even funny. Wink is sooooooo much better. Thanks for mentioning wink and pointing me towards it. :)

An iOS / Apple Watch app like the attached would be great. Concept by Adam Yale. https://dribbble.com/shots/2242095-Chamberlain-Iphone-App-Watch-App
