What is the difference between MYQ-G030-SP and MYQ 819LMB

I have a HomeKit (Apple) environment.  I have a Craftman garage door opener and would like to control / monitor my garage door.  I purchased the MyQ Smart Garage door opener MYQ-G0301 and would like to control this through HomeKit / Siri.  I was told I had to purchase a bridge which is ridiculous at this point in time.  The two bridges that come up are the MYQ-G030-SP and MYQ 819LMB.  When reading through the specs for them on this site they are the same... am I missing something?  Which one has the lastest firmware?

There are two ways to get HomeKit support

The paid way is to get chamberlains MyQ homebridge

The free way( and more complicated way) is to install the application called Hombridge and that can be installed on computers, raspberry pi’s and servers using docker.

Thanks Michael,

When you say paid.. is that through the physical home bridge or the online subscription?

Also what are the differences with the two models?

With Apple there is no subscription needed you pay once for the bridge and that’s it
