Unable to reconnect door sensors after removing bridge cause I didn’t have Apple TV

I am having issues re-adding my door sensors to the MyQ. I added the bridge and removed it cause I didn’t have Apple TV to operate it, now I can’t use the MyQ as I did before. I receive a “sensor error” in the app and the “waiting for sensor” in the mychamberlain website times out and does not recognize a sensor being present. I have deleted the MyQ app and reinstalled, signed out of the app and signed back in, reset the hub to factory, deleted it from the app, unplugged it several times, reset my router and modem, connected via Bluetooth to no avail. What can be done to restore the MyQ operation prior to adding the bridge and loosing all functionality?

I got the email but they didn’t understand my issue. I can manually pair the sensor to the myQ Garage just fine by pressing either button 1 or button 2 and then pushing the test button on the sensor. The MyQ Garage beeps (once or twice depending on whether I used button 1 or 2). But in the app, I can’t get past the page that says get ready to push the test button on the sensor. When I hit next, the app goes immediately to an error page and when I hit retry it just keeps looping me back. I can push the test button and hear the appropriate beeps on the myQ Garage but can’t get past that step in the app for some reason.

Budf15, try removing your sensors from the MyQ and pair them again. I did that and it worked for me.

Great, thanks. I will give that a try. Do you do that by erasing the myq 1 and 2 buttons?

Yes, hold each one down for about 8 seconds to clear them. Add the sensors one at a time and when one shows up in the Chaimberlain app, test that it works and power cycle the hub. Add any additional sensors the same way. I found that by “acting” too fast in between steps tends to confuse the software. Hope it works for you.

UPDATE: I now have a fully working garage door system with both the MyQ Hub, Bridge and Apple TV. I removed/deleted the door sensors from the MyQ Hub, added each sensor one at a time and it worked with restored functionality through the Apple home kit. Try removing the sensors from the Hub when you get a battery error. Hopefully it works for you just the same. As a side note, I should also mention that despite buying new batteries I was able to restore functionality with the original batteries that came with the sensors.
