Hi Mujahedb,

Thank you for contacting us. Do you know what year your opener was manufactured? You can determine when your opener wasmanufactured by looking at the serial number; the first two digits of theserial number usually denote the year of manufacture (17xxxxxxx...).

I have the same problem. Installed a 2018 Genie 7550 yesterday. programmed an existing remote and keypad with no problem. Then I tried to add it to my existing MyQ that has worked well for a couple years. The door sensor has a new battery. I installed a MyQ at my mothers house last year and it works very well. Just replaced batteries there and had no problems. This 7055 is another story. Following the instructions, I activated the door sensor, LED & Beep, them put the door opener in program mode ........................ nothing. MyQ goes through all four attempts which it tells you may take up to 15 minutes, then gives an error message; "There was an error connecting to the server. Please check your connection and try again". Tried three times, no luck. On all the other doors on the two MyQ systems, the door code was identified almost immediately. If the door opener is only in program mode for 30-seconds, what is MyQ doing for the rest of the 15-minutes? Would appreciate any help. I like the MyQ system (until yesterday). Thanks.
