Server Error MyQ Server Not responding. Please try again later

For the past two days I have not been able to access my Craftsman Assurelink app.  I receive the Server Error MyQ Server not responding.  I am able to access the garage door using the internet, which is now my only option to open/close the garage door remotely.  I will get a notice on my phone from the app if my garage door has been open for more than 10 minutes, but cannot access the app.  Any suggestions?

Im getting the same error, but I live in South Florida.  Called Sears and that was a complete joke and waste of time.  I can't even create a new account on the iOS app.  Does anyone know the web URL?  As I get my email notifications, but cannot log into the app to open or close my garage.  TYIA.

I’m in Michigan and having the same issue. Has anything been posted about the outage elsewhere?

I'm in Central Florida and getting the same error on my phone. I tried using the forgot pass link process and still the same message. Tried uninstalling the app > reinstalling > power cycled my home network and still same error. I own a Craftsman garage door opener. Please, Support fix this issue or provide guidance on how to.

FYI - I also noticed that I can login via the website on my iPhone https://assurelink.craftsman.com and operate my opener from my phone

Thank you Tim. This worked for me on my phone as well. I had to refresh the page after login in a couple of times for the garage door opener to show up. I'm good with this as a workaround until there is a fix for the app. Thanks again.

My notifications are working when using the work around - check your settings on the website?

How are you able to get push notifications from a website on your mobile device like the app can do?  Unless you're referring to email?  Email works.

I’m guessing you have to be logged into the app to control the garage door but don’t need it running to receive the notifications- so they appears to be passed - for example if we manually open the door with the opener, we receive notifications.

Im in NJ and having the same problem for several days. Unable to get any support from anyone. Shame on you Craftsman. Scoured the the internet for an answer or solution and found nothing. Want to go and buy a new Chamberlin hub and trash the craftsman brand for ever.

Seems to be related to latest version of iOS.  Most users who have come across this issue updated to iOS 12.2.  Sears never updates the app any longer so we are probably all SOL.

Found the solution.  So you need to download the MyQ Garage & Access Control app.

Here is the link.  Make sure its this exact app because there are two MyQ apps.

App Link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/myq-garage-access-control/id456282559

You need to delete your account / device from the old Craftsman Assurelink app first.

Open MyQ app

Add the internet gateway using the serial number.  It will ask you to press the learning button on the garage door unit.  Then it should sync right up.

Works like a charm just like the Craftsman app used to work.  Can Open / Close and set up alerts with push notifications.

Guess since Sears is basically extinct, MyQ seemed to take over all of the Assurelink services.

worked for me also, use the web login for assurelink , remove the gateway, then configure the myQ app.  Re configured the MyQ app for smartlings home automation and changed to liftmaster login credentials and that now works again also.

Hi everyone,

Customers using the iOS version of the Craftsman mobile app are now able to connect to the myQ server. We have resolved the issue that some of you all experienced and we apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.

Thanks, but too late. I've already switched my Craftsman Smart Garage Door opener to the MyQ app. Heres how:
1. Log into the website assurelink.craftsman.com
2. Delete the gateway from the account.

• Under My Places & Devices section, click the gear icon > Select the place you want to delete > Click the trash can icon next to the place > Click "Yes, delete" to remove the Place.

3. Download the new myQ app (The one that doesn’t say Chamberlain on it)
4. Create a myQ account and go to your email to click the link in the registration email.
5. Log into the myQ app and follow the steps to add the serial number and myQ devices to the account.
