Schedules Problem

I’ve set up a schedule to make sure my garage door is closed at night @10pm. When the time comes it opens the garage door if it’s closed and then gives me a error message stating that the door is reading still open even though it called to close it. Am I missing something or shouldn’t the MyQ read whether the door is open or closed and then only try to close it if the garage door is actually open? I have to go close the door by my physical garage door transmitter to get it to close.

Yes. It should know. Mine works flawlessly—with the Chamberlain app, the Home app, and even with Siri. I just say, “Hey Siri, Goodnight,” and the door goes down. My Goodnight automation also shuts off two lamps that are controlled by Wemo wall outlet style switches. Another automation turns on the lights around sundown and also issues the close garage door command. Love it!

By the way, it has worked for over a year.

I think I’m gonna change out the battery on the sensor to see if that’s what’s causing it. As tonight no matter what I do it keeps showing the door open so I’m thinking it may be a bad battery in the door sensor.
