Push notifications to two smartphones

I have the MyQ app installed on one Android smartphone and one iPhone.  I'm logged into my account on both devices.  I receive push notifications on the iPhone, but not on the Android smartphone. Is this a supported configuration?  I also don't receive email notifications to my gmail account.  However, both devices will open and close the door.

Not sure if it's an "officially supported" solution, but it will work. I have an iPhone 6 and my wife has a Galaxy S5. Both are signed into with the same account and both receive the notifications when the door opens and closes. I set everything up on my phone and when I logged in on her's the notification settings copied over (alert when open, alert when closed, etc).

You might check your android to see if the OS is allowing the app to generate alerts. Could be that it's trying to generate them but Android is suppressing them. If I had her phone in front of me I would give you an idea where to look (though since Android is a framework your settings might be in a slightly different location than ours).

Don, Tyler is correct, it may be the Android notifications for our app have been turned off. That would be the first thing to check. As for the email notification not coming through, I suggest first checking to make sure they are not going into a spam or junk folder. If that is not the case, I will need to take a look at your account on my end. If you could please email me your username to me,  that would be great. My email is MyQcommunity@chamberlain.com.

Randi - Since my original post, here's what has happened:

1) After not receiving any Android notifications for the first 3 days after installation, I received a flurry of open and close notifications the next morning after the door closed.  I received all of the open and close notifications for the 3 days in less than 10 seconds.

2) All notifications then worked fine for 2 days.

3) This morning I received both the open and close notification.

4) This evening I received only the open notification.

The iPhone notifications continue to work fine.

I also checked my spam/junk mail folder and the email notifications are not there.

I'll send you my user name via email.

Thanks,

Don.
