Problem with 880lm wall control.

Last week my 880lm wall opener gave me the following message shown below. At this point none of the buttons on the controller are functional. I've tried disconnecting the controller and reconnecting. I've also wired it directly to the garage door opener with a short 24" piece of wire to make sure nothing was wrong with the existing service wire. I've also unplugged the garage door opener hoping it would reset the wall controller but it didn't help. My alignment sensors are fine and I can open the garage door from both fobs, the android app, and the numerical pad.

Is the wall controller shot? If so this sucks. I've only had the unit for about 14 months.

Has there been a resolution to this?  I have the same problem.  Opener model LW9000WF, installed just about a month ago.  I had not yet put the backup battery in when we had a momentary (4 seconds or so) power outage.  After the power returned the wall control was in this same state.  I've disconnected/reconnected it a couple of times and pressed the button quite a few times.  At this point I'm about to go buy some more remotes, since they're still working.  Hopefully I can still add remotes via the head unit.

Thanks, I received the reply you mentioned but the suggestion was to press the push bar until the door opener activates.  As mentioned I've pressed the push bar dozens of times.  It's just not working.  Here is a youtube video I took showing the problem.

No resolution. They gave me the initial suggestion but that didn't work. I've not heard from them since.

Greg, this should help troubleshoot the control panel: https://bit.ly/2HnEZcW
If this does not do the trick, please send me another note and we'll get this figured out. Thanks, Chuck

I have it wired direct with 12" of wire for the last 4 months. No bare wires are touching. It has a serious problem hand shaking with the controller. No ryhme or reason you just get lucky and it will work for a period of time. Currently not working

I'm an installer seen this a few times. You need to replace the wall station and make sure the technician does not use a impact drill on the low voltage wire screws. Even though it worked for just over a year. Installer may have used impact to tighten screws causing damage to the circuit board on wall station that took some time to break all the way.

That's not the case with mine. No fractures no frayed wires, just stopped working. Everything else works so I would assume the logic board still works but not sure it's worth springing for another wall unit after so many issues.

My screen has just gone blank with a thick line at the top. No power tools used. Done by hand and not overtightened. Less than 6 months old.

Has anyone found an answer to this question? Please advise. I have a model LW5000EV ser no. 02456100464. It just started having the same problem as above. Purchased and installed from Lowes in 2015. Working fine up to Jan 2018. Still have no issues with remotes or wireless keypad. It has to be either the smart control panel pn. 41A7305-1 or the internal logic board on the head unit itself. My email info is p.leathers@cox.net please advise on my next step to take. Thank you for your time and assistance, Peter Leathers.

I recently had a similar issue.  I came home and my 880LMW on a LM8550 opener indicated "press the push bar to activate control".  Pressing the bars or buttons did nothing.  I tried power-cycling the opener, connecting the wall control with new wires, etc..  Still did not work.

So, I purchased a new 880LMW.  It now works to the extent that the menus work, I can set the time, and I can actually add remotes, etc..  However, the push bar does not work, the light button does not work, it will not let me enable TTC (says the opener does not support it... ), ...  So, the wall panel is now partially functional, but there are still problems.

Is there anything else that can be done to debug this?  Do I maybe have a bad board in the opener now as well?

I have the same issue and had the 880LMW replaced two months after it was installed in 2018. Now the unit is completely dark and there are now issues with my wiring.

Me too, HELP! Same problem but this model # HD950WFi and the only way I can use my garage door opener is with the outside keypad or the portable remote I keep in my car. I tried this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AJEPhS5LIk but it didn't work for me.

Was having the same issue with the 880LMW - clock still worked, so I knew wall unit had power, but it was not opening the door nor would it turn on the light. I followed the instruction in article below but with one exception:  In Step 6 (under "Test and isolate issues with the door control panel") instead of replacing the wires as directed, after I had disconnected the wires from the board and touched them together and nothing happened, I instead reattached them to the board and that solved the problem and wall unit began opening the door again https://support.chamberlaingroup.com/s/article/How-to-troubleshoot-a-door-control-panel-1484145519278
