The more people that use the free trial and cancel the better. If you don't sign up, they don't know you exist. At least if you sign up and then cancel you get the opportunity to show them how little you value it. Ie if only 10 out of 100 people sign up and keep paying to use it they will think that 100% of the people that tried it were fine with paying. But if 100 of 100 people sign up and only 10 keep it after the trial then they (or a smart company at least) should recognize that 90% of the customers felt that its not worth the fee. The company obviously doesn't listen to their customers so maybe they will understand if we tell them in terms they do understand, revenue.

Good idea! But Chamberlain might just think that maybe they need to offer one more feature (like opening the garage or sending notifications of status changes). That I guess would help the suckers who still are willing to pay. In any case, this company isn't even worth my time signing up and then cancel again (and probably have to provide CC information which they store somewhere). They clearly don't understand the market. I have given up on them. Just my 2 cents.

Do you honestly think that they are going to introduce a new feature? They are still "actively working" on features that were supposed to be working 1+ years ago.

Good point! That's why I have given up on them. Even if the service were free, the fact that I can't open the garage door or get change notifications makes it useless. At the current stage I wouldn't even use it if it were free!!! No joke, I am dead serious about that!!!! It's useless for me! Again, they simply don't understand the needs of the ever growing home automation folks.

You can't open it because it's a security issue. And yet in order to have multiple phones open the same garage door they encourage you to share your password. The only company to charge for IFTTT integration and the only one to encourage you to share your passwords with other people. Maybe they are on to something that the rest of the tech world is missing?

Also its probably easier to accidently hit the garage door graphic on your app then it is to bounce your voice to Google Home to open it lols. can u imagine a crook at the garage door yelling their head off "Google Open the Garage Door"
