Overhead Door Python OCG750 with MyQ HELP!!

I've spent two+ hours working on this thing and still don't have it working.  Here's what happens:

I reset the MyQ hub and open the app.
It takes me through the prompts to connect to Wifi...successful.
It takes me through the prompts to connect the remote sensor...successful.
It tells me to mount the sensor to the door...done.
It wants me to add the opener and gives me a list of companies..............failed.

I select Overhead Door and go through the prompts (also pressing the learn code button on the opener).  It takes FOREVER and opens my garage door four times.  After about 15 minutes and four open and closes, it tells me "It looks like your garage door motor didn't pair with the Smart Garage Hub."

I read another thread that you have to select Genie if you have an overhead door.  If I reset everything and try again selecting Genie, I get the same outcome.  The hub opens and closes the door four different times and then tells me it didn't pair.

I've attempted this process at least 10 different times with the same result.  It opens and closes the door every time I attempt it, but then won't save the information at the end.

At one point I was able to add the hub to my account and place it in monitor only mode.  Then I tried to add the opener that way which gave me the same result.

My opener is listed in the compatible list.  What am I missing?  I don't understand how it can open and close the door multiple times and then tell me it can't find the code.

Oh...to add to the info.  I moved one of my routers closer to the garage toward the end of the attempt thinking that it may not be getting enough signal.  That yielded no change.
