Everything worked fine until recently. I did switch my wifi to a single ssid for both bands but was having this issue right before which is why I started messing with it in first place. I got thw garage door opener and myq hub all set up and in homekit. I could control it from homekit for anout an hour. Now it says no response. I can open and close from the myq app and i get homekit notifications it opens and closes, but In homekit the hub and garage door opener say no response. Not sure what to do now.

Absolutely the Rule/Schedule can be programmed in any HomeKit compatible outlet even voice controlled.  See my screenshot demonstrating my current power cycle routine.

I previously had the MyQ gateway working with both MyQ app and HomeKit.  Over last couple of weeks HomeKit could not longer control or report status on my doors (No Responding).  MyQ app was still working well, but probably because it doesn't use the gateway since my door openers have builtin wifi.

After reading this thread I noticed the common solution staring me in the face....

Did you turn it off and on again?   No. I hadn't. My issue was SOLVED by the age old "Power Cycle".  luckily only had to power cycle the MyQ gateway..

good thing I don't seal up my media junction box in the closet, as that would suck to have to open it.

Perhaps Chamberlain could consider in the MyQ app show the MyQ Gateway status for both:
- MyQ gateway not responding
- MyQ gateway cannot talk to <--> WiFi Door Openers

And if detected maybe in some cases the user could soft-reset the MyQ gateway from the app?

cheers

So is the only solution for this problem is to buy a new updated version? Kinda of sucks paying for a product that becomes a throwaway.

I don't know if that is a solution.  I did this and the new version worked for about 2 months, but I now back to the same no response problem..

After dealing with issues on and off I’m planning on buying a different system. My last talk with myq they told me it was an Apple issue and Apple said they had no idea why it wouldn’t be recognized by HomeKit. MyQ customer support has been mostly terrible, and the fact that ifttt support costs extra, and the MyQ is now only a garage remote I can use from my phone makes it mostly worthless to me. This is the worst smart device I’ve bought and a serious waste of money.

Yea, like most people mine worked for a while and then became a no response problem and if the newer version does this also I would think it's some kind of MyQ problem since it worked at first with Apple HomeKit  and eventually quits working. Mike First, what system are you planning on going with?

So here's my experience with the myQ HomeBridge.  I do know there are a couple models out there.  The one I use is the HomeBridge vs the Home Hub.  I bought it on the day it was announced and used it for a while.  After a number of months, it had the same issues people are reporting.  For a little while turning it on/off worked.  However, after a period of time, nothing would work.  So, I don't know if it's a time bomb in the hardware that is causing these issues.  I then replaced it with a brand new unit and it worked (crossing fingers).

If that’s the case they should replace it.

I’ve had ongoing issues for the past six months. I went from having a fully functioning system with HomeKit integration, to not even getting the MyQ app to open the garage. I’ve had the door sensor, Home Bridge, and Garage Hub all replaced by Chamberlain, but they also told me that the logic board of the opener needed to be replaced, which I had to do at my own cost. I’m at the point where if they don’t have someone come out & fix it, I’m going to have to scrap the whole system & ask for a refund on the logic board.

I upgraded to the new system with the hub and it still doesn’t work. However the way it has failed is quite odd. I get updates on status when the door opens or closes, but I can’t actually open or close the door through HomeKit.

This does sound like a HomeKit issue, but I would suggest it might be on Chamberlain to work with Apple on a fix. I could probably se the system with homebridge, but that is kind of painful.

I have many, many, many other HomeKit devices on my network.  They are made from different vendors, etc doing many different tasks.  All of them work fine.  In this case, I highly doubt it's Apple here.  The one common denominator in the issues exist only with Chamberlains HomeBridge in my experience of using/owning lots of different HomeKit devices.

And not to mention many of ours systems were working fine and all of a sudden they stop working. Mine will even work for a day if I power cycle the MyQ homebridge but then it stops working. So doesn't sound like Apple is the problem.

So, I was an early adopter of the MyQ Smart Garage Hub, well before HomeKit was even an option with the Home Bridge. It worked, more or less, from the MyQ app for the better part of a year. However, when the Home Bridge came out, and promised to add HomeKit functionality, I purchased it immediately. Setup was less than intuitive, but finally, I got the system set up & it worked pretty well for the next six months. Then, it started showing the dreaded “No Response” in the Home app, but it was mostly still working in the MyQ app. Eventually, it stopped working altogether. After troubleshooting it myself for hours, both through this Forum and through my own research/trial & error, I contacted Chamberlain MyQ support. They walked me through a lot of the same troubleshooting, as well as some more unique techniques I had yet to try. However, we were ultimately unsuccessful in getting the Hub or the Bridge working again. Support sent me a new Hub & Bridge, assuring me that would take care of the issues. When they arrived, I went through the same cycle of trying to set up & troubleshoot, but to no avail. More calls to Chamberlain MyQ Support & more frustration ensued, until the support technician determined it was the logic board of the door opener that was the culprit of the issue. They didn’t send me one for free, but said I could purchase it for $70 from their website. So, I ordered it, and once it arrived, I installed it, but again, the issues persisted. Again, I contacted their support team, and they now determined that it was the door sensor that was the issue, as it was the only piece of the hardware I hadn’t replaced. They sent me a new door sensor, and I installed it, but again, the issues persisted. The last four months, I hadn’t had a chance to try and get it working I’m earnest, but this past week, I got an email that Chamberlain had a new MyQ app, so I finally tried to get it set up again. Thankfully, this actually did the trick & it FINALLY worked!! I set up the Hub first, which worked via the MyQ app, and then set up the Bridge, which then allowed me to transfer the garage door to HomeKit. For now, I’ve been able to use the MyQ app, Siri, the Home app, and the Control Center Home shortcut to all successfully open and close the garage door. My wife has also been able to use all of these methods on her phone as well, without issue. So far, five days in, and no issues. What a dream! This is what I was expecting over a year ago and it’s finally arrived.

So, my advice? Be persistent, try everything, try it again, download the new MyQ app, and good luck!
