MyQ will not program to 2011 Chamberlain Liftmaster Garage Opener

I have setup the MyQ WiFi properly and go to program the garage door opener (2011 Chamberlain Liftmaster, red cover) using the Android app and it just spins and never successfully programs. Any help is appreciated?

Dan, thanks for reaching out. I have just a couple questions. What is the model number of you garage door opener? And could you provide more details about the MyQ Wi-Fi setup please? -Chuck

Hi, thanks for reaching back out to me.  I have a Chamberlain LiftMaster Elite Series Model 3850P-267 series garage door opener, serial number 12414100721.  It is a 120 Volt, 2.7 Amp, 60 Hz 800 N with a manufacturing date of 3/17/11.   The Chamberlain MyQ Garage Hub is a MYQ-G0301 model number with a serial number of 2300 003 5E2.  I have successfully connected to wifi using the MyQ Chamberlain app.  I am also able to successfully connect the door sensor using the MyQ app. However, when I select the Select and Program Opener option after connecting the door sensor and choose the following for the Brand/Model of garage door opener - Brand: Chamberlain, Color of program button: Purple, the screen comes up "Several attempts will now be made to program your door opener.  This may take up to 15 minutes."  After several minutes, it comes up with "On your garage door opener, press and hold the program button until the LED turns on, then release."  I verify that I press the purple program button again until the light comes on and then after a minute or two the following message is displayed "Door opener programming failed."

I have tried this with both the Chamberlain and LiftMaster brands.  I have removed the Garage Hub completed and started over and still no success.  I spent about 2 hours trying to get it to work last night.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Also, last night, my garage door opened up at 11 pm last night when no one pressed the button to open it.  It was open all night until I found it in the morning and closed it.

Hi I have exact the same problem.  I bought a myQ smart garage hub.  My garage opener is Chamberlain Whisper Drive 2011 Aug, part no. 41A5483-4C-315.  I have the hub connected to the wifi (showing solid green), when it asked to pair with the garage opening.  I keep spinning and asking to press the program button and failed to program in the end.  Tried reseting both garage opener and the hub and still no success.  Spent good 3 hours working on it and still stucked at pairing on the app.  Please reach out to me asap on garychan.ph@gmail.com, I wish to get it working soon.
