MyQ will not program Craftsman Door Opener

I have a Craftsman Garage Door opener with what looks like a Red program button.  WHen I tried to use the app to program the door, it would turn on/off the lights and open/close the garage door.  However, it would just end with an error saying that there was an error and the door could not be programed.

I've also tried different combinations using the Orange button option with the same results.  I'm not sure what else I need to do.  It appears that the device can communicate with the door opener but it always fails at the end.  Help please!

Did you resolve your issue?
If not, are you using a MyQ Internet Gateway or a MyQ Garage?
If a MyQ Garage, it sounds like the Door Sensor is not learned to the MyQ Garage Wi-Fi hub. Is the Door Sensor correctly positioned and mounted on the top panel of the garage door?

Thank you Jim!  This was the issue.  I must've missed the step to attach the door sensor first.  Thanks for the help... I've been trying to reach Chamberlain but to no luck.
