MyQ sometimes indicates that the door is up when it is actually down

Since I have set up alerts to let me know when the garage door is left up for more than one hour, I have had several instances where the system thinks the garage door is up when it is actually down. The only way to get the system to realize the door is down is to open and close it again.

Is there something I can do to correct this?

Check the placement of your do sensor. Is it tipped in any way? The door sensor is what indicates to the system up or down. Also make sure it is not installed upside down.

Hello Jeff – I am sorry that you are having a problem with your app showing the incorrect status of your door. Since you mentioned that the change happened when you added an alert to show when the door is open for an hour, to resolve the issue, I would like to have you delete the alert and then uninstall the app from your phone. Once uninstalled, reinstall the app and recreate the alert. I have included some information on deleting and recreating an alert(rule). Let me know if you continue to have issues.
