myQ smart garage app multi-user functionality

Just installed the myQ Smart Garage Hub for the garage door opener.  I see that in late 2017 this was supposed to work for multi-users, but I don't see how to do this.  Does my wife have to download the app and log on using my userid and password?  Can she not have her own login info and set up her own alerts??

Sadly, yes. You have to share a login and password still. They promised this was being delivered and have failed to do so.

Dev, thanks for taking the time to comment. We're actively working on this functionality and will post updates as soon as we can. Thanks, Chuck

I too believed when I read the Jan 2017 press release that the multi user function must be available.  Hence, I purchased 2 garage door openers, installed them and then found out it was a joke.

Good luck... Better chance of getting yourself to the moon. Going on 2 years of asking for this...all I hear is crickets.

I am seeing a January 2017 briefing with the title of "MULTIPLE USERS CAN NOW SHARE MYQ APP IN SINGLE HOUSEHOLD"

What ever happened to this?  This was not an announcement of a new project, this was an announcement of a new feature that would be rolling out immediately...

Read the article, it talks about having the main user assign other users to certain levels of access.  Not by sharing the same credentials.

I see.  I find it strange that a year and a half later their announcement means nothing?

Why has this still not been added?  Years later after multi user functionality was promised?

Because this company doesn't care about consumers because it holds a lion share of the market. Think of Spectrum cable in this instance.

You see, Chamberlain IT developers have been actively involved in the Soyus rocket failure (aka rocket science), and on top of being actively involved in calculating how to get a man to the moon and back for the last 3 years (more rocket science and see my previous posts to catch up on the sarcasm)... resources are spread too thin to figure out how to have master user / sub user accounts apply to a garage door opener. I'm proud to say that I've steered two homeowners away from their products, a third, after a thorough explanation of the limitations of the app, decided to live with them.
