MyQ programmed but it de-programmed by car garage door opener.

I successfully programmed my MYQ gateway and it worked fine; except that somehow the "homelink" garage door opener in my car no longer worked. I reprogrammed that (using the program button on the garage door opener) and now the MyQ doesn't work. Any idea of how to fix this so programming one doesn't cancel out the other? Thanks

Merlin - What brand and model of garage door opener do you have?

I have a Genie, Medallion edition, with Intellicode technology.   When I use the learn button to install the MyQ, it disables the Homelink in my car.  When I reprogram the Homelink (using the learn button on the door opener), it disables the MyQ.  Back and forth.

I think I've fixed the problem.  It seems there's a limit on the number of remotes that can be programmed to my door opener (6 or 7).  Over the years I've apparently exceeded the limit.  So, I erased and reset the opener and reprogrammed the remotes I really need.  Voila, success!

I have the same problem.  Installed MYQ which worked immediately very well with my Genie Intellicode (IS) opener.  However, I immediately LOST both car Homelink devices and the Genie wireless keypad (outside).  I assume that you held the Genie opener Learn button down for a few seconds to ERASE all codes/pairings.  Then you started one-by-one learning the MYQ and then the auto Homelink devices.  Correct?  I see that the Genie opener holds a total of 7 codes including the outside wireless keypad.  I would like all to work seamlessly, auto, keypad, and MYQ.

I don't recall exactly how to erase all the codes but that's what you have to do.  Then start over, programming one by one (it doesn't matter which order).  As long as you don't exceed the allowable total (5-7?) you're good.   (Google your model to learn how to erase everything.)
