MyQ iPhone notification issues / rule set issues

The MyQ app on our iPhones, will continue to tell us that the garage door is open from the rule set, but in the app the garage door shows closed. Other times, the app will show the garage door open when it is closed and continues to notify us that the door is open from the rule sets. All of this started about 3-months after install, so position/location should not be an issue based on the timeframe of which it started...at least I do not think it would.

Scott,

I apologize for not answering this sooner. Please email us at myqcommunity@chamberlain.com. We would like to exchange account information so that we can address this. If you could include the following information in your reply.

The email address on the MyQ account?
Is this occurring on Wi-Fi or cellular?
If you have the alerts to set to send you an email and a push notification, do both arrive at the same time or are there discrepancies?

Thank you,
Dawn

I am having similar issues. Randomly I receive notifications that one or both doors are opening and closing when they are not.

William - Do you have the MyQ Garage? Is there a lot of movement to your door, possibly from wind that may shake the door sensor?

There is wind, I am sure the door moves.  How sensitive is the sensor?  The sensor is vertically mounted.  I would assume it would only be triggered if the sensor were moved to the horizontal position.  Otherwise how would the door ever know if it was open or closed?

Sometimes the sensor can be a little sensitive to the movement of the door caused by wind. In these cases, we recommend mounting the sensor at a different location along the top panel of the door. If remounting does not correct the issue, please email me at MyQCommunity@Chamberlain.com so we can further troubleshoot your issue.

I have the sensor mounted on the top panel and it is constantly sending notifications that it's opening and closing even when it's not doing anything

Try replacing the batteries first.
