MyQ constantly goes offline. My other connected devices on my router will still work. This happens daily. I have changed out patch cables, and I still have to reset my router for it to work.

Patch cables probably aren’t the issue since it’s WiFi. How far is the router from the MyQ ? If you are getting disconnected you may have wireless interference and need to move the router closer or get an extender and place that closer to the router

We might be talking two different things are you talking about the MyQ garage door opener? That’s Wi-Fi only

Ahh this forum is for the garage door opener so I see where the confusion is. If rebooting the router is required to get the gateway back online have you tried a power cycle of the gateway instead? I’m thinking if only rebooting the router is working them it might be a setting on the router

What type of router is it? Internet provider kind or a third party one you bought?

Rich, this article may help: https://bit.ly/2Jspdyn. However, since you’ve already tried resetting your router a few times, the next step we recommend is contacting your Internet Service Provider or the manufacturer of the router. Let us know how that goes. Thanks, Chuck

Try grabbing Wi-Fi analyzer available for iOS and Android. Run it near your myq gateway and see the signal strength. Maybe you need a wireless booster

If not it may be a setting like channel width. I use 20/40mhz never had any issues.

Also make sure your SSID name doesn’t contain any special characters.

I don’t think it is a WiFi issue. The garage doors see the WiFi but the hub which is hardwired into the network is not showing online

Oh it’s the hardwired gateway not the wireless model I have no experience with that model

I can't even get mine to work. Not even connected from sensor to hub yet. I can only imagine the crap I'll have to go through once I finally do get it hooked up after listening to all the issues. Piece of junk. I think I will have to bring my business elsewhere.

I had issues connecting mine too! I did get it connected though after following the process 6 times. I don't know if holding the phone next to the hub while it sync'd helped. I also did a factory reset, then reset it again. Now everyday I have to power cycle the device because it goes offline. I'm thinking it's sensitive to voltage and when the AC comes on that little drop in voltage that makes the lights dim has an affect and knocks it offline. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it. Seems like it may have been rushed through testing before it was released to the public.
