You will need the Home bridge to add HomeKit functionality to your MyQ Garage . It is an add on not a replacement.

Rob, Don is correct. If you want HomeKit integration, you'll need the MyQ Home Bridge device: https://goo.gl/DNCmVm. Lauren

I understand. When will it be available to purchase in Canada? Did I miss out on a offer back in October to Canadian customers???

Any word if the HomeKit bridge has been released yet in Canada. I tried to order it to a U.S. address but it would not accept my Canadian credit card.

I am in Canada and also was not able to order from the website. If you call Chamberlain directly they will place the order and ship it to you direct to Canada. It cost me $111 CAD right to my door in the GTA via UPS.

Yeah that is not too far off the price I got on the liftmaster site. I suspect that $111 price is close to what the actual price will be once it hits the shelves in Canada. When I tried to use a discount code that gave $20 off the price it doubled my shippping costs which bumped the price to $125. So I think I’ll wait until they do an actual release in Canada I wish I would have known this prior to buying the opener i would have gone with another brand.

Hi Chuck... there seems to be multiple threads discussing the MyQ HomeKit Bridge in Canada but most of your retailers and installers here are not aware of the product or that this model is different than what they are selling now. You may want to create an info sheet for your resellers explaining the difference... maybe this is why Canadian retailers/resellers have not been ordering the new product for sale up here. Just a thought.

Purchased a Chamberlain model B751c  from Costco on Monday.  I was lead to believe it was homekit compatible out of the box.  Very disappointed to find out that not only do I have to purchase a hub, but it is not available in Canada.  After speaking with Donny at tech support, it seems that even if I cross the border to pick one up in the U.S. it will not work (some sort of frequency issue).  Frankly, I am not too sure this is accurate.  Never the less, I agree with Rob, this is confusing.  To make things right I believe it would be honourable for Chamberlain to send us the Homekit Hub free of charge as they have done in the past.

Well, a little more disappointment... I have 3 Homelink equipped vehicles with  controls on the mirror and one that has Car2u on the visor.  None of them are compatible.  I would have to buy 2 more bridges to get it to work.  By the time i am done I will have more bridges that he river Thames.  The reason my Homelink vehicles do not work is because they are older than 2012.  I was informed by an extremely helpful and knowledgeable technician at Chamberlain (thank-you John) that the technology was changed in 2012, so any garage door opener made after that point will not work with cars older than 2012. I clearly understand why the change was made (mostly security and to combat interference from an increasing number of wireless devices), however my issue is marketing.  Again, as a consumer I was led to believe by the bright colorful text right on the box that the B751c was Homelink compatible.  There was no asterisk or disclaimer that said "only for homelink equipped vehicles made after 2012" .  not even anything in the instructions in the box.  What's frustrating is that i had to monkey around with it for an hour  only to find out it was never going yo work without a bridge.  So now I am going to ask Chaimberlain to again consider doing the right thing and sending me a homelink bridge.

Well, chamberlain did the right thing and I received my free Homelink bridge on Thursday. Thank you chamberlain. That’s the good news. To my surprise you can only program 1 vehicle to to work with the bridge. This is nuts. Chamberlain needs to seriously overhaul their engineering team. This is the age of home automation and integration, sorry folks you are going to miss the boat. If you are in need of some quality executive leadership please give me a call

Chris, the HomeLink Compatibility Bridge does not have a limit on the number of vehicles that can be programmed to it. Would you like to have a customer support agent assist you? Let me know. Chuck

Thank you Chuck. I did follow the instructions to the letter or so I thought. I must admit I am running low on patience but more than willing to take another shot at it. Please advise who would be best to provide support. Thanks
