Myq Garage unable to add "New Place" (wifi hub) to my account

I've installed the MyQ Garage system in my home. I have the wifi hub (MyQ Garage hub) connected to my wifi router. I can see it in my routers settings page so I know it is connected and the light on the hub is solid green. I've created a MyQ account that I can access from the mobile app as well as online (both from a computer and mobile). What I can't do is progress any further.

From the app I tap the very large + button that states Add New Device. It takes me to a page that says Add New Place or Link Partner Device. I tap Add New Place and that takes me to another screen that says Enter MyQ Serial Number. There are 3 text boxes that fit the serial number of my device so I enter those numbers in the appropriate boxes, I tap return, then tap Submit. The app pops up a small box that says Adding... after about 5 second the box goes away and that's it. I'm still stuck on the page where I can enter my serial number, I get no errors, nothing has been added to my account. It is as if nothing was done. I do notice that the light on the MyQ Garage wifi hub does blink green ONCE after I hit the submit button. I am not able to progress any further than this point.

I did find the part where  you can manually add your garage, door so after an day of trying to get the account problem taken care of I did manage to add my garage door opener to the hub and it did work. I just can't add the wifi hub to my online account.

Travis,

Can you email me the serial number on your hub? My email address is MyQCommunity@Chamberlain.com

Just thought I would respond to this and let everyone know that I received the new unit and it's working great. I can't wait for the HomeKit firmware upgrade to come out so I can start using Siri to open the garage.

My unit is doing the exact same thing. Were they not able to troubleshoot your unit?? They had to replace it?

That is correct. I had to get a replacement unit from them. The other would not work even though it connected to the network just fine.

That's a bummer. I just got this thing and was really disappointed it won't connect to MyQ app.. Waiting for the RMA stinks. I might just send it back.

I am having a very similar problem. My Wi-Fi Hub is connected with a solid green light. The app is installed, connected to Blue Tooth, etc. but when I go to add the unit it just spins and spins "Adding" and then basically times out. I've tried to install on my phone, our iPad and my husband's phone. I'm guessing mine is too new (a 6)? Any ideas?

I found a work around for this problem. Nothing is wrong with the unit, just shoddy programming in the app. Create two separate places in the app add one garage door opener to each and it works. If you try to add both to one "place" it won't. App bug.
