MYQ-G0201 Stopped Working

Hi all,

I have a MYQ-G0201 that has been working pretty reliably for over a year now. But all of a sudden it's stopped working. I researched this quite a bit online and tried a number of things but haven't found any solutions. For example, I have tested the sensor battery and it is charged. It appears that the main unit can connect to my router. But at this point it's not clear to me if: A) the main unit is successfully talking with the sensor or not (I think it may not) or B) if the main unit is still programmed to my garage door unit (I think I may have reset it at this point; and I need to reprogram it but can't find information on how to do this step online). Ugh! Could really use some help. Thank you so much in advance. I'm a big fan! =)

Jesse,  I have found that when the battery hits <3.0 volts the sensor doesn't reliably communicate with the main unit.  Also when you pull the battery out to check the voltage it resets the low battery indicator.  I suspect the sensor is counting the number of operations instead of the battery voltage when telling the app the battery is low.  It's a cheap try to put in a new $5 battery which will put out about 3.2 volts.  I did that and it works like a champ.  I can only get about 6 months out of my sensor battery.  If you haven't tried that I suggest you do.  Good luck.

Bryan, same thought occurred to me. Worth a $5 shot. Will do it and report back. Thanks for the reply!

Quick follow up. This fixed it. Even though the battery tested fully strong. When I bought a brand new one, the base unit was able to detect it again. Seems like it needs a very strong battery to function. Good to know. Thanks!
