MyQ doesn't work. I have a liftmaster 41A garage door opener. Several years ago I installed a MyQ controller the MyQ unit worked fine until some time a couple of years ago.Now I have been trying to get it to work again, and nothing works. The door opener works with my two remotes as well as with my car which has a controller which I was able to get to work. But the MyQ doesn't work. So I got an Internet gateway and installed that in a space, next to the router, about 12 feet from the door opener. That didn't work and when I go through the procedure, I can't get the door opener to contact the Internet Gateway either. Before the MyQ unit seemed to be able to contact my router and I assume to the Internet, but nothing will contact the garage door opener.

Charles, these are basic steps but maybe they'll do the trick: http://bit.ly/2x3dSj4. If they don't or you've already tried them, then we'll figure out the next step. Lauren

Lauren, since you appear to be avoiding any related posts like the plague, I feel the need to ask you directly here if you plan to provide any updated information regarding the sizable amount of comments/concerns/complaints about Chamberlain's decision to charge for access to IFTTT and Google home, and whether or not their are any plans to change course and release the integrations at no charge.

It appears several of us are on the verge of filing formal complaints with the BBB, FTC and any other agency that will listen. This is an issue that needs an immediate resolution and it doesn't appear that Chamberlain has any intention of providing one, much in the same way they have handled the HomeKit fiasco.

Tristan, certainly not avoiding these posts. In fact, I'm avidly reading them. Much of the feedback is useful and provides a clearer insight into the MyQ Community. I don't have an update on a change of course however. I know that will disappoint a number of Community members but it's the most up-to-date information I have at the moment. I will keep you posted. Between charging for IFTTT/Google Home and the MyQ Garage Homekit upgrade, I would not at all be surprised if Chamberlain got hit with a few lawsuits in the near future. You cannot repeatedly lie to your customer base like this.
