MyQ - Cannot setup an alert getting "Server Error (000)"

I just installed a MyQ for my garage door but I am not able to set any alert from the app.  When I try to save a new alert, I get "Server Error (000)" and the alert does not save.  I tried to set one up from www.mychamberlain.com website which did let me save an alert.  But the alert that got saved doesn't have configs I chose.  I tried editing the configuration but it always goes back to what seems to the default setting.

Can someone help?

I have the same problem, and it was escalated.  I was told that I would hear back in 3-5 business days.  Given the fact that it seems to be a common problem, why not post the solutions for the people who have already been helped?  3-5 days is way to long to get help.

Deb, customer support just informed me that they attempted a workaround with you previously and that this effort did not solve the issue. At this point, I suggest we wait for the permanent fix, which is actively being worked on. Does that make sense to you? Lauren

OK, but O have seen people with a similar issue, I’m surprised there isn’t some more troubleshooting than what O briefly received.

Support contacted me and was able to resolve problem, here are steps for posterity:

1. Factory Reset MyQ (Hold Gear button until blue light flashes, Hold Gear again until it beeps)
2. Open Chamberlain MyQ app and enter serial #
3. It finds the MyQ and connect it to WiFi
4. MyQ connects to WiFi and has solid green LED
5. To continue setting up the MyQ I choose Garage Door Opener
6. Next it asks if I’m using a door sensor, I respond YES
7. Next it asks me to find the button on the door sensor, I click next
8. App displays message “Sever Error (000)” ...it hasn't even ask me to press the door sensor button yet

Solution (Do this after step 4 above):
1.Press and hold button #1 until the yellow LED turns off, approximately 8 to 10 seconds. Green LED will stay on.
2.Press and hold button #2 until yellow LED turns off. Green LED will stay on.
3.Power cycle the hub. Unplug and plug back in.
4.Proceed to add the garage door opener.

By the way, I have been working with a support rep who asked me to go through various troubleshooting steps.  None of them worked and she ended up shipping me a new unit to see if that would fix the issue.  I installed the new one yesterday and it still does not work.

I just purchased a MyQ and getting the Server Error (000) message. I guess that means the issue is still unresolved. I will try the fix Cory Bennett posted 5 months ago, but if it does not work I have 2 weeks to return it to Best Buy.

Well, I just bought my B970C and got all working.

I too see this same error, Server Error (000).  I see that Chamberlain still has not found the real problem nor provided a fix that works for everyone.

As a Certified Technician, I did some of my own troubleshooting and I found what is causing this.  Well, to a point.

The problem can be replicated 100% of the time.

What I found out, is that when you are editing an alert and you choose Custom, the server error is caused if the lower time in the "To" field is AM.

If it is PM, no error.  If 24/7 chosen, no error.

If I try to set, From 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, ERROR!

But if I choose, From 9:00 PM to 11:59 PM, NO ERROR!

If I add 1 more minute to it and have from set at 12:00 AM   ***** ERROR  *****!

This troubleshooting information SHOULD help the devs find the problem in the code, whether the glitch is server side or client side.

This should not be so difficult.

The programmers who wrote the software, server and client, SHOULD be able to trace why this is causing this error.

Thanks and hope that helps.

It looks like there is an issue if the time range passes thru 12:00am.  To get around this you would have to setup two alerts.  So to alerts from 9:00pm to 6:00am you would need an alert from 9:00pm to 11:59pm and then another from 12:00am to 6:00am.
