MyQ App iOS Unable to Close Garage Door CIGCWC

I have the Chamberlain CIGCWC Connectivity Kit and recently, I cannot close the garage door with the iOS MyQ app. I have tried all the standard re-syncing procedures to no avail (i.e. delete device from app and re-pair, reboot devices and gateway, cycle the door with standard remote, etc.). The app just hangs at the attempt to close, displaying the loading symbol indefinitely while there is no activity from the garage door opener.

The MyQ app has no issues opening the door, only fails at closing. I am able to successfully open and close the door 100% of the time with a standard remote or the wall control unit so that rules out any faulty sensors or obstructions.

The MyQ app only fails to close the garage door if, at any time after the door has been opened, the safety sensors have been crossed (i.e. pulling the car into or out of the garage). Just to be clear, I don't mean that I am attempting to close the garage door while the safety sensors are obstructed. During any attempts to close the garage door with the MyQ app, the safety sensors are clear of any obstructions.

I have found that if I open the the garage door with the MyQ app and never enter or exit the garage so as to never cross the safety sensors, I can successfully close the garage door with the app. But, this is of no use to me as I would never open the garage door without the need to enter or exit the garage, consequently crossing the safety sensors and ultimately causing the MyQ app to fail when attempting to close the garage door afterward.

I will have this issue almost every time if my phone is connected to my home WiFi and not to the cellular data connection on my phone.

I think it has to do with when I'm leaving the house, my phone will still show that I have a connection to my home WiFi even though the signal is too poor to send the command to close the garage.

If I disable my WiFi on my phone before I leave the house, the app will close the garage about 95% of the time since I'm on my cell data. If I forget to disable WiFi on the phone, I'll just send the command to close the garage when I'm a few blocks away from the house, which seem to work as well.

I initially thought it may have had something to do with what you mentioned, but that would not explain why it only fails to close if the safety sensors have been crossed at any point after the garage door has been opened, as mentioned in my initial post.

Additionally, I have tested it while maintaining a WiFi connection the entire time and while only on cellular, without ever switching between the two. In both instances, it still fails to close if the safety sensors have been crossed at any point after the garage door has been opened. I appreciate the input, nonetheless.
