myQ app / internet gateway doesn't close garage door

Since 2 years i have a garage door type "liftmaster LM80EVS", which i use in combination with the remote control and wireless wall control (i do not have any additional (security) sensors installed).

Recently i bought the internet gateway 828EV, so i could also open/close the door using the myQ app on android.

I've installed the internet gateway and was able to pair it with my garage door.
With the myQ app, i can now open the door, but for some reason, i'm not able to close it.
When i hit "close" in the myQ app, i can see the hub's yellow light flashing a few times (but not the blue one). The LM80EVS respons with 1 flash, but after that, it stays unresponsive.
After 1 minute, the app times-out.

When i open/close the door with the 'normal" remote control or wireless wall control, the hub respons when fully opened/closed and the myQ app gives me a push-message to say so.

I've allready tried several "solutions" i've found on the forum, but non have worked so far:

* flipping the hub and/or turning the hub 180°
* relocating the hub in different places in my garage (futher away or closer to the motor)
* deleted / reïnstalled the hub from the myQ app
* deleted / reïnstalled the myQ app itself
* ...

Are there any other possible solutions for this (apparently known) issue?

Thanks for the advice!

I guess by the part number, you have the European model.

Do you have the PE beams installed?
What is the travel distance of the rail? (is it on an up and over or tilt door?)

I ask as the European LM80 is very similar to the ANZ version.

The app will not allow a unit to close if PE beams are not installed or if the unit has a short travel distance and thinks its on a tilt door.

thanks for the quick reply!
It's indeed a European model.

I do not have PE beams installed, so i guess that's the problem.

In my setup, i assume i need the "liftmaster 772E"?
Or is any other PE beam also possible?

Thanks for the advice!

Hi, I work for Chamberlain ANZ. Our products are very similar to the EU products.

The 772E's would work fine. I have checked the manual and they are listed as a compatible accessory.
I hope this helps
