MyQ 828LM dead on arrival

I received the MyQ Internet Gateway and attempt to install it.  Should have been pretty straight forward.  However, the following issues prevented me from getting anywhere with it accept waisting a bunch of time trouble shooting a device that was broken on delivery.

1.  Blue LED light flashes three times after being plugged into to power and then turns off.  
2.  Green internet light flashes continuously however will not connect to the internet.  Never goes solid green.

When I would pick up the device, and shake the power plug, the blue light would flash twice quickly and then turn off again.  Seems like faulty power plug. 

The green light keeps flashing continuously but not solid green  

I tested connecting directly to the Comcast modem and still, no luck with the flashing green.  My internet works just fine.  Seems the the problem is in a DOD device.  Does anyone actually turn this stuff on and test it before shipping it out.  

Waited until the weekend to install this device.  No customer support around to trouble shoot.  
Other people have similar issue from when I saw on searches, and there is no good response accept the obvious, return the junk for a refund.  What a disappointment.

Not that I am defending them in any way, but is it possible that it could be your network setup? Mac address filtering or something like that turned on in your settings?

I don't have MAC address filtering turned on.  I am using an Airport Extreme.  The gateway just never goes green.  So can not complete setup.  No information at all about issues with the type of router and the Internet Gateway.  I went through all the troubleshooting steps posted, and ultimately it says " call customer support".  Just gotta call during the week.

Hello Abe – I apologize that you are having a problem getting a solid green light on the Internet Gateway. I have included troubleshooting steps for the issue you are seeing, flashing green light. When the green light is flashing the gateway is having a problem connecting to our server.  

[if !supportLists]1.       [endif]Verify your router has TCP/UDP port 53 open (DNS), inbound and outbound UDP port 80 open, inbound and outbound TCP port 2165 open, and inbound and outbound UDP/TCP port 8883 open. If you are unsure how to check this,  contact the router manufacturer.

my gateway came with a bad ethernet cable, I was lucky to find it fairly quickly. I had set it up in my office, when I moved it I used the cable that came with it and it did not work, took a few minutes to figure out the cable was bad.

i dont understand this part Verify your router has TCP/UDP port 53 open (DNS )    i understand forwarding

I have the exact same problem. Were you able to resolve the issue?
