My-Q Smart Garage Hub and Home Bridge Setup

After LOTS of frustration and no help from the Chamberlain customer service supervisor and a "bridge guru," I have successfully set up the My-Q Smart Garage Hub Model: MYQ-G0301-D and the My-Q Home Bridge Model: MYQ-G0303-SP to work with Homekit.

The setup of the hub was fairly straightforward, but I had issues getting things transferred over to the bridge.  Here are a few important points:

When you program your door sensor to the hub, program it to #1 on the hub.  #2 is used for a 2nd door (once additional sensors are available).  The hub beeps once for position #1 and twice for position #2 during setup.

When you connect to the bridge for setup, your phone must be on the 2.4 GHz network.

When transferring device(s) from hub to bridge, hold down settings on hub until it flashes blue.  When prompted DO NOT PRESS #2 on the hub as instructions state.  You must press #1 which is where the first door is programmed into the HUB.  If transferring more than one door, I believe you would transfer the door in position #1 first until complete and then follow with the door in position #2.  Also, I believe you would not need to hold down the settings button on the hub a 2nd time if you were transferring 2 doors.  It is important that you transfer the door in position #1 first...and then if you happened to have a 2nd door sensor, you would transfer the door in position #2 second and without following the instructions to hold down the settings button again...

Chamberlain's instructions, including the instructions in the app are WRONG and misleading.  Hopefully Chamberlain will put together better instructions.

Hope this helps someone and prevents some frustration.

I think I was able to transfer both door sensors to the bridge,,, so does this mean I dont need the hub anymore? now the app only reads the bridge?

You have to leave the hub installed.
