It keeps beeping with the lights flashing randomly throughout the day. Also, the garage door has randomly opened one morning as I was getting ready for work. Does anyone know of a remedy to fix these problems?

I am having the same issue with my 888LM.  It beeps 4 times and then the yellow and red lights flash 15 times.  This happens randomly.

I am having the same issue. At first it was the hub going offline and the wall unit beeping with blinking lights. After resetting the hub and wall unit, the system seemed to work. A couple of hours later, the hub went back offline, the wall unit began with blinking lights and audible alerts, and the garage door now began randomly opening and closing on its own. I had to finally disconnect the system entirely to keep the garage door from randomly opening.

This unit is so frustrating. I can't sleep as it keeps beeping all night and day, and randomly opens my garage door, which poses a real concern especially since I'm not home most of the day. Makes me want to go back to the basic chain driven garage door opener and wall unit.

Please help!

My fix was to replace the 888LM and the problem went away.  I then repaired my 888LM door opener by replacing the two capacitors in the remote and tested. I have now repaired a couple of these remotes and all are still working. I don't recommend repairing them if you don't know how to use a soldering iron.

Here is my concern, if chamberlain/ lift master has not figured out the design problem with the circuit card in the 888LM... then they are just making us buy new controllers every year or so. A garage door controller should not have an operational life of 12 months or even 24 months. Who would buy one knowing this??
We are sorta stuck because we have all of the other hardware
