Moving to a new home

I am about to move into a new home, and am wondering about the MyQ Internet Gateway that came with my Chamberlain door opener. I can't seem to find any info where I can: a) de-register and take the gateway only with me to my new home (not the whole door opener) and use it on another door opener b) transfer my gateway to the new owner who bought my house, without them having access to my current MyQ account

Not really sure what to do and how to proceed.
