Manually adding MyGarage MYQ-G0201 device to the MyQ app

I received my Chamberlain MYQ-G0201 MyQ-Garage yesterday, and was excited to install it today, but I cannot get the device added correctly in the MyQ app.

Garage opener is a Sears Craftsman (green button)

Steps:

  1. Connected WiFi Hub to iPhone via bluetooth
  2. Shared WiFi connection details
  3. Solid green light on hub, indicating successful connection
  4. Register with the MyQ App on iPhone and add serial number
  5. Install sensor on garage door
  6. Install Wifi hub next to garage door opener
  7. Open MyQ app and follow the instructions under "Add device"
  8. Press green learn button on garage door opener
  9. App indicator icon spins and spins until eventually timing out
  10. Try adding the device through the mychamberlain.com dashboard, but same result (time out)
  11. Find this thread and follow Dawn's instructions
  12. Sensor successfully pairs with Wifi hub
  13. After following Dawn's 8-step process to manually program the Wifi hub for my garage door opener, the door successfully opens during step 8
Now that I've manually programmed and paired the sensor with the hub, and the hub with my garage door opener, I still have no way to activate it via the MyQ app. Clicking on the "add device" button runs into the same problem seen in steps 9 and 10 above.

Is there a way to manually add the MYQ-G0201 to the MyQ app now that it's been successfully programmed?

Dan, I know you may have already done this, but can you uninstall the app and re-install? Then be sure that in in settings locations and privacy it is approved to use your location. Then try repairing with the app... It might be a permission in the app got hosed on the original install.

Solution: I called customer support and it turns out that it wasn't a problem on my side. Apparently some MyQ Garage hubs register as MyQ Internet Gateways in Chamberlain's system. The helpful person I spoke to on the phone made an update on their side and now everything is working fine. Thanks!
