I contacted chamberlain and went through a troubleshooting process that consisted of updating my mobile app (which makes no sense as I can log in via the website and see the same error) and was asked to press the button 5 times in a row.  Anyway, it didn't clear and they sent me a new door sensor.  The new door sensor was acting strange. Seemed to be wrong about the status of the door about once a day.  I was going to contact Chamberlain and request yet another door sensor (and I still might) but I tried the old door sensor again and the error cleared and seems to be working fine for the moment.

I posted a response to a post Chamberlain did on Facebook complaining about this ongoing issue.  They asked for my Model#, address and sent me a new sensor.  Working fine since.

So, it was bizarre, but I had to remove the device from the app and reinstall it. Then the warming went away. Not very smooth for 2019, but it worked.
