Low Battery does not go away after changing battery.

Hi,

I got a warning "Low Battery" and replaced it with a new CR2540 battery and the warning does not go away.  I tried two new fresh batteries and the warning is still there.  Any idea how to make it disappear so that I can close my garage door remotely?  I am using MyQ-201.

Thanks,
Kevin

Lauren,

My problem is not beeping as your reply. The problem is how to get rid of the yellow triangle warning sign low battery. I tried three new batteries but the problem does not go away.

If this dosent help . Try reinstalling the MyQ in the App. I had this problem and finally deleted and re-setup the MyqGarage and now it is normal.

I'm having the same trouble and been on hold for 33 minutes listening to that crap music. Then it hung up! Furious that I can't get help. Low Battery on App, changed battery. No change in App. Door opens with app. Door won't close with app. No beeping from system. Just crapy app problem.

I am having the same issues: low battery signal persists even after I’ve changed the door sensor battery and now the app cannot close the garage door consistently. Please advise.

any updates? I'm having the same issue. I even took the battery out of one sensor and put it in the other and the low battery issue stayed on the original sensor. Can't close the door with the error.

Fix is coming. In the mean time use the mychamberlain.com web portal. If you have an iPhone I created a web bookmark as an icon on my phone to easily access the portal and close the garage.

My issue resolved, not sure whether it was a software fix or a spontaneous resolution, but I’m grateful either way.

Logan... opening is not an issue with the app. It's the closing part. The workaround I found was to use the my chamberlain.com web site and login with my credentials. That works to close it.

Lauren, I feel (like many of your customers) that it is at least a priority for the app to stop preventing closure of the garage door in this low battery alarm state. As many have documented the app still allows opening, but not closing while this false alarm is displayed. You have essentially made the product in inoperable by this major software failure. Do we fight for product refunds or replacements instead? My family can't use the product at all because of this.

So I just replaced my battery and am seeing the same issue.  Was my battery even low or a bug in the software that caused me to waste money on a new battery.  3 weeks for this issue without resolution is not acceptable.  I was thinking about purchasing additional components for my other garage door but not trusting the quality.

Today I tried to open and close my garage remotely with the app and found out that it works without any issues.  The only annoying thing is low battery warning still there.

I am also having this issue. I replaced the battery. Everything seems to work okay, except the low battery icon in the app does not go away after several batteries and reinstalling the app.

A string of people spending $8 per battery for no reason when a simple coding fix would alleviate this issue. Enough is enough. www.learnyourrights.com and contact me for inclusion in a class action.

I've lost my patience. We've been asking for help for two months. Posts here go back further than that. Lauren appeared to take us seriously, but promised some specifics by Jan 5. We are just getting more of the same. I want to request process for a refund.

To all who have their myQ inoperable because of the software failure to reset low battery alarm:

Isn't amazing how quick we get responses for patience, without any reasonable timeline for action? Yet as soon as we post anything asking or redress so we can actually use our garage doors, we are met with silence? I have to believe that this product issue is either not a priority or its a hardware issue that can't be addressed without replacing the door sensor.

I suggest that the only way we are going to get action is flood social media reviews at major retailers about this problem that seems to have emerged with the advent of iOS11.

Here are links to post the Chamberlain's failure to respond to the many, many, patient appeals for help.

Have same problem.  Bought one new battery for $8 and installed and then bought a second, thinking the first one was bad.  Then I finally started searching for other solutions and found this thread.  This must be a low priority for Chamberlain since I see people have been complaining about it for over a month.  No problem until the time comes that the battery really IS low doesn't get replaced, leaving me and others unable to use the app at all.
