Link alternet MyQ Garage Door to my MyQ account

Both my parents and myself have a MyQ account and garage door openers.  My parents purchased the MyQ based on me having one and want me to use the MyQ over purchasing another remote control, however there is no way to link their MyQ account Opener with my Account.

Logging in and out of the MyQ app is not acceptable as there should be a better way to "link" MyQ accounts/openers for access.

Suggestion:  MyQ requires a "primary account" for setting up and management.  Create an "Authorization List" though the MyQ app's or web-site to link additional email address' or existing MyQ accounts to your opener. Provide options for "Anytime Access" or "Timed" access by Date range and/or time range and which doors are accessible to subordinate accounts.

These features would allow the owner to have unique access for children (ie: "Anytime Access"), House/Pet sitters ("Timed Access" from start date to end date), and/or Housemaid ("Timed Access" on Mon, Wed, Fri between 8:00am to 5:00pm).

I agree. Our family also shares the app and we have to use the same account on each phone. A better solution is to have a master account and then create sub accounts that we can assign permissions on. Such as can this user open/close or create rules/alerts. One account across a family of devices is not acceptable. If this can't be done I can't see continuing to use the myq device and would be happy to let others know as well. I appreciate any efforts to allow this.

I agree with Brian, there is so much more you could easily do with this application.

the app is great,  but it must have sub accounts,   cant have teenagers turning off alerts.   would be great to limit time and day access for cleaners or workers too.

I just bought mine and this is the first thing I wanted to learn if possible. My smart door locks allow similar ability where I can create multiple codes to get in, but I would like this type of ability with garage too so I can limit someones access to just the garage if necessary.

Add me to the list of people who want a "sharing" feature.  I hoped to give my parents access to my house when I travel.

In the meantime, you can manage both accounts on one device using some third party apps such as Wink.

Yes!  I bought this product assuming this would be an option.  Now I'm very disappointed that I have to give everyone my password just to share with them the access of opening my garage.  Please, when will this feature be added?

I too need this.  Please get it going ASAP!  Why would this not have been thought of at the very start of programming?

Come on Chamberlain... It's been two years.... No excuse! There needs to be a way to create sub-accounts.
Example - I wanted to put app on daughter's phone, problem is, you can't silence the alerts or they silence across all apps on the account. I can't have her turning down notifications every time she goes to school. Plus, she has access to screw up the alerts I've created. Get the ball rolling with this and let you could LEAD the GDO industry instead of FOLLOW. Ryobi is going to be some stiff competition, good luck!
