I have an email from Chamberlain tech support from March 2016 specifically telling me to purchase the original hub for use with HomeKit. Then when that failed, they said that I would be upgraded to the new hub when it became available. Now I have to pay another $50 bucks? Come on people. Thats not just bad business, thats a clear cut case of defrauding your customer. Oh.. And its just bad business. In short, heres what rubs me wrong about this; I had to special order (because of my area) a Chamberlain opener because they were the best. I paid extra because I have a stupid installation scenario. Then I paid more for a hub that I improperly assumed that an internet connected opener would be.... internet connected... Now another $50 bucks... Up to this point I still recommended Chamberlain with the caveat that they hadn’t worked out home kit. Now.. I can’t recommend them at all. In fact I have to warn people about a major name brand company that openly defrauds its customers.
