I purchased the system thinking that my garage door opener was new enough and then when I got to the box to program it, I realized that I did not have a learn button, only dip switches. Anyway to convert the opener, add somehting to it or do I have to return the MyQ?

Connie - Unfortunately, there is no way around the programming for older openers. The MyQ Garage can only be used with door openers manufactured after 1993 that utilize photoelectric sensors, so it will not work with dip switches.
