In high winds, the slight in and out movement of the garage door causes myQ to send a false door opening or closing alert. How do I fix?

Mike,

Where do you have the door sensor installed?

Near the center of the door horizontally and the second panel down (of four panels) from the top vertically.

Mike,

Have you tried installing the door sensor on either the right or left side of the door on the top panel? We recommend putting the sensor on the top corner of the door because that is where the door connects to the door tracks, it's more secure and there is less vibration there.

I have tried this, but I still get false open. Even after 15 minutes, I get a still open notification.

David - Have you tried to replace the battery in your door sensor? If it's showing a false open and no close, I wonder if the battery may be an issue.
