I've got a subscription that links IFTTT and MyQ. I've used the applet "Close door nightly". 3 weeks ago, my router broke. I had to sync the MyQ hub with the new router. But, the IFTTT applet quit working. When I access IFTTT and attempt to set it up, it asks "What is the door name?" It wants me to choose from the drop down menu. But the drop down menu states "No options found". I've tried unlinking and relinking IFTTT and MyQ. I've tried renaming the door name. Nothing works. Help!

Sure. Sometime shortly after NYE I noticed that things werent working properly anymore. IFTTT stopped working. Looking into it, IFTTT cant seem to get the Garage Door name from MyQ. MyQ itself works fine but IFTTT and Assistant dont work anymore. Assistant will ONLY work if I ask it to check with MyQ which I shouldnt have to do anymore and WAS working.
I have several time driven services to close the door, and also a Location driven one to close the door when I leave the area.
I have tried logging out of everything, resetting, etc. and nothing has worked.
Looking at all the complaints, it appears you have a serious issue, which you chose to make worse by charging for the service which at the moment, is NOT worth it.
I could build the device off of YouTube pretty easy, but figured it would be easier to buy something. Unfortunately its not working.

I am having the exact same issue as Craig H describes. The MyQ integration with IFTTT stopped working for me around the end of January 2018. The IFTTT applet is unable to find the door name. It just says “no options found”. So I’m paying for a service I can’t even use.

I read that the close door action only works on garage door openers with integrated MyQ, not for the 99% of us that bought the MyQ Garage addon.

Don’t bother! This is an incompetent company. I called and the rep put me on hold for 10 minutes then said to call IFTTT because it’s not on their end. The most ridiculous RCA ever done, if any. Monopolizing the market and breaking down the system for their own benefit. Shortcuts and automations don’t work with wink or xfinity either so no chamberlain, it’s not them, it’s you!! Thanks for (NOT) listening!

I just called and had another argument with the brain trust at Chamberlain. They gave me the run around through email to cancel a measly $10 subscription. I cannot stand this incompetence anymore from every chamberlain member I spoke to. Follow this link to cancel your recurring subscription https://myqservices.com/account/login.

NEXX gets great reviews and is only 20 dollars more usually, also offers more options from what I read......you will never get an email or call from Chamberlain, so no one here should hold their breath.....thats the same BS they told me months ago.

Again, no one should hold their breath waiting for a contact....it never came for me, and never saw any one else get resolved. Sad, but true.

Chamberlain has replied to me stating this will NEVER work, If you have the MyQ device that has a sensor on the door which tells the app whether your door is open or closed, they have found that if your battery dies, they can't guarantee the door is closed and so will not take responsibility for leaving your door open. Thus, they have disabled the feature. I repeat...this will NEVER work so don't waste your time.

Marc,
Thanks for your persistence in getting an answer for this. Wish they would be more up front. Plus, when I signed up for the one year subscription, they said I would get 30 days free, but I can not find anywhere that you can opt out and get my money back.

Wish I had read this thread before i JUST sent in $10 for a subscription that is worthless. Guess I'll contact Discover Card customer service and see if I can get my money back. I've left my garage door open all night a couple of times and this would have been real handy. I need to find another solution.

Yes this was also working for me and I could always be content that my garage was closed at night. Now my garage has remained open several times at night, meaning the exact issue that Chamberlain was trying to stop, is happening more than it would have in the dead battery scenario. Surely this should be resolved in updated terms and conditions that frees Chamberlain of liability in a dead battery scenario. If Chamberlain
cannot achieve this than I am sure some other company will master the ‘smart garage door’.
