I purchased a Chamberlain MYQ Internet Gateway today and attempted for 3 hrs and it will not connect. I have a Chamberlain MYQ door opener with a battery backup manufactured 10/25/11. I have performed a hard restart & cleared all devices from opener. Ive got connection (constant green light) and the opener light will blink but will time out when when adding. If there's something else I can try before I take it back I'm all ears.

Eric - I apologize that you are having difficulty adding your garage door opener to your gateway. You mention your garage door opener was manufactured in 2011, what is the model number of your opener? You can find the model number under the front light cover or if there are light covers on each side, it's located on the side opposite the antenna wire.

I am having this same problem. I am trying to add the opener to "a place" and i get a time-out. I've tried it multiple times. My Gateway shows a green light. I've tried moving it closer to the opener (thinking that perhaps it was not getting a signal), but always the same Device Time-out error.
I have model number: WD962MLEVC

Here are the troubleshooting steps for this issue:

1. Do a hard reset on the gateway.

Hard reset
  1. Remove power connection from gateway,
  2. Press and hold the Reset button, and
  3. While holding reset button press, connect power to gateway.
  4. Continue to hold Reset button for 5 - 20 sec while all LEDs remain off until the yellow LED light blinks.
  5. Release reset button.

2. Attempt to add the device to the account. How to add devices to the MyQ account

3. If still unable to add the device, do another hard reset on the gateway and then clear the MyQ devices from the garage door opener or the MyQ Control Panel.

To clear the devices

1. Press the learn button until the LED light goes out, release.
2. Immediately press and hold the learn button again until the LED light goes out, release.

4. Attempt to add the device to the account, again. How to add devices to the MyQ account

5. If still unable to add and another account was used previously to program the garage door opener or MyQ Control Panel, make sure that it is removed from that account.

6. If garage door opener or MyQ Control Panel is not on a known account then replace logic board on the opener or MyQ Control Panel, if it's the MyQ door control.

Hello ma'am... I've tried the reset several more times with the same result. When I click add a device and then the learn button on my opener the light will blink but it times out on the site. I've already erased all the codes and reset the gateway several times and still the same results. Do you have anymore ideas?

Eric - If that does not take care of it then the issue is with your logic board. Can you email me at MyQCommunity@Chamberlain.com
