Homekit automation Hue motion and MyQ homekit bridge

I have a Hue motion sensor in Homekit (not configured in Hue App) which triggers the MyQ garage door to open (also added to HomeKit).

I can see both devices and activate both individually. (I have notifications on when the motion is triggered).

I have an automation that when I enter the garage the garage door opens.
This works but I notice that when I get some app update this seems to break.  I usually have to delete the MyQ garage bridge from HomeKit and add it again.  I can usually tell that its this as the HomeKit garage door won't respond when I press it individually in the HomeKit app (work sin MyQ app).

However, the automation recently broke again, but this time both individual actions still works, that is the motion is still working and the garage door opening in HomeKit is working.

But when the automation is triggered, I get a notification that a motion is detected but the garage door doesn't activate.  If I test the automation, with the "test automation" when you edit the automation it works, it just doesn't seem to trigger in the automation.

Any suggestions?

hi, did you try to put a lamp or another homekit device instead of the notification.
I had a similar problem with a movement detector. I found there is a latency issue with some detectors.
The Hue detector works really fine with the hue lamps, try another type of device.

I did!  I added a switch that turns on the garage light and that won't trip either.

Could you try to invert the automation. When the door opens/closes turn on a lamp for 2 minutes for example.
Do you use an AppleTV or an iPad as HomeKit hub ? Maybe HomePod ?
I have this kind of automation for my garage door (lights and fans to dry the cars) and an AppleTV 4K as a hub. I never use the chamberlain app, everything is in HomeKit. Moreover a have devices from really différents manufacturers AND a homebridge software running on a raspberry pi for the devices not natively HomeKit compatible.
Everyone works together (for the moment) ;)
I was one of the first Canadian to install the chamberlain HomeKit bridge. No problem since (if it works, don’t fix it !)
