Genie 3024 incompatible.

Just paid an installer $500+ for a Genie 3024 b/c instructions say compatible with my existing MyQ. Genie program routine times out in 10 secs. 4 tries of 4 attempts each with pressing program button immediately after timeout results in failure. Does Chamberlain want to reimburse me for the bad info?

I have the exact same opener and I cannot get it to work with any mode other than "monitor only".  I've tried to program at least four times now.  I purchased MyQ because everything I read said it was compatible with all Genie models since 1996 - since this is a brand new house and the opener manufactured only a few months ago, I'm quite frustrated.

Chamberlain - any updates? I'm rather disappointed as I've already installed the MyQ on my ceiling, installed the sensors, and at this point have passed the return date from the store it was purchased from.

So frustrating. This just happened to me! Wish I seen this before buying and installing the MYQ. I can’t believe Genie isn’t comparable and both companies say it is. Either chamberlain or genie need to remedy this issue ASAP. With the MYQ HomeKit comparability this issue is only going to spread.

Evan, sorry I'm seeing these comments at different times. Is this the Genie model you own, the Genie 3024? Lauren

Pick up a gogogate, linear, nexx, or garagio internet bridge. This isn't the first time Chamberlain has lied to their customers, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
