Garage door opening by itself; no MYQ installed

What is happening?! We have had our garage door for a little over one year. We never used any of the online services - just our remotes that came with the system.

Our garage door opened by itself on October 5. It was open all day. This terrified us to come home and find that our house had been accessible all day! 

We wondered about the MYQ app and thought maybe we should install so we can monitor what is happening with the door.

On Sunday, October 14, I installed it. For that afternoon, I found the door open several times and I had not opened it. At 8:30, as I was opening the back door to the garage, the garage door started going up, I watched in fascination as it opened all the way up and then as I reached over to close it. I never even touched the button, and it then closed by itself. I immediately got online and started reading about all phantom opening and closing postings. As I was reading online, I heard the garage door open again. I went and looked and sure enough it was open! I waited for 10 minutes and it never closed, so I closed it manually. 

I unplugged the MYQ box from the outlet and our router and I deleted the app from my phone. There were no more random openings until Monday mid morning sometime between 8 am and 12 pm. 

What the hell is going on? This needs to be fixed and addressed by Chamberlain. My family is at risk, and I am terrified to sleep in a house that has a garage door opening and closing at any time.
There is no stuck button and there is no neighbor out pushing garage door openers. And if there is something fried in the wiring, then Chamberlain needs to get their ass out and fix it.

We called and worked with someone over the phone. After clearing everything and starting all over with remotes and the base system, we have not had any more phantom openings in the past 4 days.
