Garage door opened on its own after installing Myq

So we installed the MyQ after we left the garage door open at 4an and someone stole our stuff from garage. We have had this product for just about two weeks , it was working fine until yesterday when we went out and came back home to an open garage door. My husband had issues in the day with his app, so he had reset the app in the day and the notification turned off. We were so upset and couldn’t sleep whole night! Now it’s plugged off and after reading these comments I am so relieved that we aren’t not the only ones with this issue.
There is no way we can take any chance with our garage door opening on its own, too bad that people have had bad experiences and I din read these comments before buying this product!

Were you aware that you could set up notifications to tell you that the doors opened? It will work no matter where you are as long as your phone is not in do not disturb mode

We've had our MyQ hub for almost a year and only had one time when the garage door was open when we didn't remember opening it.  That happened a few days before we were leaving on a trip, so we just unplugged the garage door opener while we were gone to make sure it didn't open on its own when we weren't home to close it.  Since then, we installed a new Chamberlain garage door opener that works better with the MyQ Smart Hub and have had no more problems with the door being open when it shouldn't.  The MyQ app is good about knowing when the door is open or closed as long as the door sensor is working properly.  Make sure you've got good batteries in the door sensor.
