Fix the low battery issue PLEASE!

Clearly, this is a major issue with many users.  Either a.  Fix it now or b.  Refund those who purchased the product.  This is clearly a defect - software or hardware - doesn't matter.  Wake up, Chamberlain!

We are having the same issue and would like to get a reply ASAP.  We were out of town and the garage opened and we could not close it.  What a piece of crap.

Why are the replies to say it's being worked on so fast but yet there's no fix? If work to resolve the problem was as fast as the response time to people's complaints, this would be solved already.

Got the low battery warning, too. Attempts to replace the battery were unsuccessful in clearing the low battery warning . . . and the remote operation of the door eventually failed.  Just replaced the door sensor and everything seems to be working fine, but the low battery warning is still showing in the app.  Interested in your fix, when it comes . . .

This is definitely never being fixed. What a joke. Seems like a software update would be the solution. This needs to be escalated to some senior manager. I'm going to do some sleuthing online to determine who that would be.

I'm also having the same issue.  I swapped out the door sensor, reset the control unit to factory settings, and deleted/reinstalled the app and it still says the bat is low.  I also had this issue with the old version of the phone app and after I upgraded to the new phone app.  I'm guessing this is not a phone app issue, and it is a problem with the software in the control unit in the garage?  And I assume that there is not a way to update the software in the control unit in the garage (have not found anything online about this).  Not sure what the fix will be, but agree with the comment above about how the product should be replaced or refunded if no fix can be found in a timely manner.

is there any way to avoid this from happening?  Now I'm afraid if I take the battery out to replace it before it gets low - it might cause the issue instead of preventing it.  Please advise Chamberlain!

I would suggest anyone having this issue should tweet to  @ChamberlainDIY asking for an update.  Also include @jsohovic who is the CEO of Chamberlain.   I dont usually go to those extremes, but I think 6 weeks is long enough.  It is time to fix them or replace them.

Thanks for sharing, Terry. I have little hope at this point of any resolution. Chuck's message is the same thing I've seen for 2 months. They don't even even answer me anymore. Ignoring the customer's problem, hoping we'll just give up, seems to be their ultimate answer.

I cant even imagine the number of users that have just given up and thought their hardware was bad.  When this first started, I googled and searched and found nothing - because it was before everyone started posting.  I am sure others did as well and just gave up.  Very poor way to handle an issue like this.

We are actively testing a software solution to solve an intermittent issue that causes a false low battery warning in our app for MyQ Garage 1.0. The solution will be deployed within a week. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and are committed to providing a resolution.

I have had a MyQ installed since May, 6 months almost exact.  Last month I got a low battery notification.  Checked the battery with my meter and it displayed 3 volts, which is full.  Although I know testing batteries without a load isn't very accurate, how long is this battery destined to last in the door sensor?

I was thinking it would last more than 6 months.

I am noticing today that it is displaying LOW BATTERY again.
