Fingerprint Login on MyQ App

My 2016 Honda doesn't have homelink as an available option (first car I ever owned that doesn't)

So rather than keep the remote transmitter in the car, I'd like to use my app to open the door when I get home.

But the password is so long,  it would be much easier to have fingerprint technology to log in to the account.

All 3 of my banks use this now.  You touch the app, then hold your fingerprint to the sensor on the phone and the app opens.

It provides safety and security as only you can open your door, but make it easier to log in.

I never use myq app because it's too tough to log in with the upper and lower and symbols and typing all that on my phone.

Everything else I use has touch ID or lets me save my password.

You do know the APP can remember your user name and password, right?

No, how do I do that?  My app remembers my login  name but not my password.

when i click "remember login"  it only remembers my email address

Hi Wayne,

I'm the MyQ community manager. I think that's a great suggestion and I'll be sure to relay that to our MyQ product teams over here at Chamberlain. Given our stance on safety and security, it's something we should definitely look into.

Best,
Kylie

Thanks Kylie.  I think it would make life so much simpler and encourage me to actually use the app instead of it being just an "extra"

Oh please, fingerprint logon? really? I will be disconnecting my 888lm if that happens. Your product team will really like this bad idea. Please leave EVERYTHING alone!. IT ALL WORKS FINE.

TouchID is a supplementary authentication mechanism. Every app I've ever seen implement it has done so in an optional way. Meaning, if you prefer to log in manually - you simply don't enable TouchID in your app's settings.
